@rae4sp: try to write the pic path without the leading /,
pfad_pic ="images/";//the path not "/images/"
pfad_th ="thumbs/";//the path to the Thumbnails(small pictures)

It worked - just as indicated...
WILL - Put the medication down for a minute-
Just a simple removal of the "/" and mine worked...
Oh, and a change in the name to 01.jpg and 02.jpg
Why did yours work Will? I'm not even gonna speculate...

excellent. This will work great. All i need to do know is to get the file to read the image names from within my html page as opposed to a text file. Is this possible?

if the script is told which path to follow to where the folders are for the thumbs and images that's all you need..doesnt use a text file..it points to folders

great gallery. One quick question though. Can the path be any URL? eg. off site. I'm thinking bandwidth and could have the pics loaded from a free photo hosting site

it is an external loading gallery?..the pics and thumbs sit on the server and come in..externally
you cant cross-domain, it needs to be sat where it's at...flash doesnt allow cross-server transfer anymore

i have been playing around with it via trial and error and trying to determine what values to change in order to reposition the thumbnails images and these two lines alter where the thumbs appear if anyone wants to know:

thumps._x = #; 
thumps._y = #;

is there a way to adjust the full size image to the right hand side of the movie?

along similar lines, is there a way to load the thumbnails from right to left?

is there a way to make the larger image fade in?


thanks again guys for putting this together... i'm still a newbie when it comes to swish but this helped me out bigtime! it's a HUGE help you have no idea...

ok great... thanks nullidee... i will try this out when i get home... since i couldn't figure it out, i just made every image the same width and height and right-bottom adjusted the image on the canvas... so now in each image there is a lot of white space on the left... just a little trickery to solve that problem, but i will give your solution a shot...

one *strange* thing that's happening though, is that this weird little grey triangle is appearing whenever i open the image gallery....

i don't know why there is a triangle, should be a square.
make it invisible with this
