This forum is here for official - and unofficial competitions ...

We would really like to have files submitted to our downloads area - so that everyone might be able to benefit from them -- this would be up to (and the responsibility of) the person who starts the competition ... This is not necessary, but I'm sure you can all see how it would benefit everyone.

If you wish to have an "official" competition -- one that offers prizes to the winners -- we would appreciate it if you would contact the administrator before it is announced.

We want to promote creativity here - and friendly challenges and competitions are an excellent way to do this. Winning isn't everything - participating is !

NOTE:

You are welcome to start FRIENDLY competitions (such as photoshop tennis, etc.) - but if you want to start a competition where the main goal is to get something that you can use for a project -- please contact an Administrator before posting -- otherwise, threads will be removed/closed from the forum. We are having a problem with too many people trying to get work done for free - and we can't let it continue.

Enjoy !!!

Hi Brian. Did you by any chance change the deadline? or is the competition still up?

Thanks

hi Eddie
I assume you mean the swish2 intro competition.
I understand the many entries are being sorted, thanks everyone for the great response, I know we all look forward to seeing what people have done ASAP :)

yes, I was talking about the intro competition. I saw Brian say something about extending the deadline... but I guess I am too late. Thank you for your reply though.

Yes, Indeed it does seem the competition is deadlined, but perhaps you would want to put the intro in the downloads for the rest of us to marvel at and learn from :)

I have a zip file with a swi, where I made an desktop office, with WINXP, a clock a calendar, a button to turn on the montior etc...

I would ike to post the file here, and see how may people can use their skills to make this virtual office operational, like press the computer button and the cd drive pops out, work on changing the calendar, change the clock, etc...

Hope this is the right place to post this..

Is this what you mean (http://www.dkriese.net/ofc.zip). It's an old swish file now, but it should stillwork. If you add or update it can you post your changes here so we can share? that's what this was about back then.

There's a calendar that needs updating, and an analog clock, the monitor has a blue button that can be pressed to show windows xp starting up. a few other images The rest is up to you. http://www.dkriese.net/ofcimage.jpg

What you have in the zip file here is as far as this went.
But if anyone is interested it can be revisited with the file provided then make changes as you want, just post your changes.

Oxygen454 give it a try.

Sounds like it hit a dead end road haha. Oh well, we should have a new design competition. Just too bad there wasn't anything to give to the winner but still it would be cool to see what people could come up with.

I added a new wireless mouse, new keyboard, Monitor Stand and small form factor CPU. All it still does is power on to winxp. It's in the 5.24.2007 SM Format.
get it here (http://www.infinitibility.com/2ofc.swi)
