I'm very new to swish so I'm sure this is a very basic question but one I'm having trouble finding an answer. I created a movie that has six lines of verbage and some of the lines (especially the last one) takes too long to display. I'm using about 3 different effects. I have increased the frame rate and it does speed up the 'whole' movie but a couple of lines still have a long pause time before they display. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. Thanks Sharon

Hi Sharon - and Welcome !

If you would like to either post a link to your .SWI file (or attach it if it's small enough) ... I will gladly take a look at it ...

What effects are you using ?

Brian

Thanks Brian. Here is the URL:

I have not uploaded the .swf file since increasing the frame rate.
Thanks, Sharon

Could you upload the .SWI file ? (the actual file that you open with SWiSH) .... That way, one of us can take a look at the file and see how to fix it ... Otherwise, it's just a guess :)

Brian

Oh sorry Brian. I've uploaded it here:
www.scoes.org/OESMovie1.swi
I've used these effects: transform, typewriter and slide.
Thanks for looking!

Sharon,

It depends on how "close" you want the text to be displayed ... But, you can simply grab the effect (click and hold) in the Timeline Panel and drag it closer to the other effects ...

I noticed that there are a lot of blank frames in between the effects -- that will cause pauses before each effect ...

Does that help ?

Brian
